Hailing from the charming Summit Hill neighborhood of Saint Paul, Abby is as Minnesotan as they come. She's all about embracing those four seasons – whether she's patio-hopping, hitting the golf course, shredding the slopes, or taking in the breathtaking fall foliage on a hike. And when the weekends roll around, you'll find her soaking up the sun at her family's cabin up in North Western Minnesota or lounging poolside, catching those rays.
Now, Abby's golf journey? Let's just say it had a bit of a late start. Occasionally tagging along with her dad to the driving range after school, but it wasn't until she hit her mid-20s, juggling her family business and hustling in tech sales, that she really dove into the game. Cue the lessons with Sheryl Maize at Crystal Lake Golf Club in Lakeville, MN – and the rest, as they say, is history.
So, once Abby finally nailed her swing, she had a bit of an "aha" moment. Turns out, finding golf gal pals wasn't exactly a walk in the park. And getting into a local league? Let's just say it was easier said than done. But fear not, because Abby's not one to back down from a challenge.
In February in 2022, while casually scrolling through social media (as you do), she stumbled upon Thr3Jack Ladies Club. Picture this: a badass women-owned spot smack dab in the heart of the North Loop, complete with indoor golf simulators and a restaurant. Jackpot.
Fast forward to today, and Abby's basically the unofficial ambassador for the club. She's rounded up scores of women for those weekly swing sessions and outdoor green grass meetups. And let's not forget the friendships – on and off the green – that she's forged along the way.
So here's to the golf girl gang that inspired Abby to create this kickass collective. You rock, ladies!
When Abby's not perfecting her swing on the green, you'll find her diving headfirst into causes she's passionate about, like the Minnesota Angel Foundation. Yep, she's all about supporting adults battling cancer, because hey, making a difference is kind of her thing.
And let's talk travel – Abby's practically a globetrotting pro. From bustling cities to serene beaches, she's been there, done that, and probably brought back a souvenir or two. (Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa pictured above)
