Register Here!

⏰ When does registration open?

Registration opens at 7:00 PM every other Sunday for events happening over the next two weeks.

Examples:

📅 Sunday, December 28th → Registration opens for events from January 4th-January 17th

📅 Sunday, January 11th→ Registration opens for events from January 18th - January 31st

💳 When and how do I pay?

Payment is due at the time of registration and can be made on our website.

Northern Greens operates as an event service provider, so in addition to greens fees, we include a $5 per person fee to cover the time spent planning, coordinating with courses, managing logistics, and handling technology fees and/or registration platforms. This fee is already built into the total price listed during registration.

Clubhouse Crew Member Price:

This special pricing is available for members only.

Clubhouse Crew pricing is not eligible on all events. Specifically the weekly indoor clubhouse socials are not eligible for the CC discount.

Public Country Club (PCC) Pricing:

Some members have asked about applying their PCC membership rates to Northern Greens events. While we love that you're utilizing that program, we’re currently not able to integrate outside memberships or discounts.

Doing so would add complexity to managing rates across different courses and attendees. Our goal is to keep registration smooth, consistent, and fair for everyone.

❌ What if I need to cancel?

We get it—life happens! If you need to cancel, please email Abby at:
📧 northerngreensgolfcollective@gmail.com

Indoor Cancellation Policy:

There is a $5 cancellation fee for all cancellations made more than 48 hours before the event. You will receive a refund minus the $5 fee.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are not eligible for refunds. (emergency exceptions can be made)

Indoor events are scheduled in advance with our partner facilities, and our reservations are based on the number of registered attendees. As a courtesy to our indoor partners, we avoid making changes within 48 hours so they have a fair opportunity to reopen those bays to the public.

Outdoor Cancellation policy:

There will be new policies around cancelation for the 2026 outdoor season - stay tuned

🏌️ What’s the vibe?

Fun, welcoming, and beginner-friendly.
Whether it’s your first time swinging or you're a seasoned player, you’ll fit right in.

Indoor Events - Golf Etiquette & Expectations

Our indoor events offer a fun, relaxed way to keep playing all winter long. We partner with local simulator facilities to bring you casual, social golf sessions that are beginner-friendly and welcoming for all skill levels. Our indoor events are held at partnered simulator facilities across the Twin Cities. These sessions are relaxed, fun, and beginner-friendly — perfect for winter golf, practice, or simply hanging out with other women who love the game.

Whether you're brand new or working on your swing, indoor events are designed to be low-pressure, social, and supportive.

Do I need to bring my own clubs?

Nope! Most indoor simulator facilities provide clubs at no extra charge.
If you have your own, feel free to bring them — but it’s not required.
We also bring extra clubs to share for anyone who needs them.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes you can swing in.
Athleisure, golf attire, or even jeans are typically fine — it’s an indoor, casual environment.
Golf shoes are not required; sneakers are perfect.

How long do indoor events last?

Most sessions are 1–2 hours, depending on the venue and format.

Do I need golf experience?

Not at all!
Indoor events are beginner-friendly, and simulators are a judgment-free zone.
You can come to learn, practice, or simply try things at your own pace.

Outdoor Events - Golf Etiquette & Expectations

One of the things I love most about Northern Greens events is how welcoming and fun they are. Whether you’re brand new to the game or have been golfing for years, we’re all here for the same reason — to have a great time on the course together.

To make sure every round runs smoothly and everyone feels comfortable, here are some friendly etiquette reminders for all events!

🌟 General Guidelines

  • We play casual golf, but we still follow basic golf etiquette to keep things fun, fair, and  flowing.
  • If you’re unsure about a rule, a term, or whose turn it is — ask! We’re here to help, not judge.

🕒 Arrival & Getting Ready

  • Arrive early enough (at least 15 minutes early) to check in with the facilitator, get your cart, and be ready when your group is called to the tee.
  • Have tees, balls, a ball marker, and a repair tool with you — it keeps the round moving.

We understand that our weeknight tee times often follow a workday, so please plan accordingly for travel and rush hour traffic. Running late or no-showing—even if prepayment has been made—can reflect poorly on our group. The courses where we play are either clients of Abby’s business, Great Places Minnesota, or are aware of our group as prospective partners. Your etiquette while visiting reflects directly on Abby, Northern Greens, and Great Places Minnesota, so we aim to maintain a positive impression to ensure continued invitations. Please plan ahead or communicate with the event facilitator if you anticipate any issues.

🏌️‍♀️ Teeing Off

  • Tee selection: Most of us play from the red tees (colors vary by course, red is pretty standard), but feel free to choose the tees that best suit your game. Just let      your foursome know your plan before starting the hole so everyone’s on the same page.
  • If everyone is playing from the      same tee’s, the lowest score from the previous hole typically tees off  first, but we often use ready golf — if you’re ready and it’s safe, go ahead.
  • If you whiff (miss) your first  shot, be prepared to take another right away — keep an extra ball in your pocket to avoid running back to your bag or cart.
  • Mulligans (redo shots) aren’t part of official rules, but in casual play, groups may allow one or two — usually off the tee. Decide as a group before starting.

🌱 Fairway & Long Game

  • Lost balls: We hate a lost ball! Spend no more than a few minutes searching — then drop a new ball and keep moving. Always watch your ball’s flight to track where it lands and ask your group to keep an eye as well.
  • Mark your ball: Add a dot, line, or stamp so you can identify it easily and avoid hitting the wrong one.
  • Divots: Replace them or use the sand/seed mix provided. Here’s how: How to Repair Divots – USGA
  • Bunkers: Enter from the low side, play your shot, then rake the sand smooth before leaving.
  • Pace of play: Keep up with the group in front of you. If you’re ready and it’s safe, hit — that’s “ready golf.”

⛳ Around the Greens

  • Be quiet and still while others are hitting or putting.
  • Avoid stepping on someone’s putting line (the path between their ball and the hole).
  • Repair your ball marks (and any others you see). Here’s how: How to Repair Ball Marks – USGA
  • Mark your ball with a coin or marker if it’s in someone’s putting line.

🤝 On-Course Camaraderie

  • Be mindful of different skill levels, new players, and varying playing styles.
  • If you’d like to offer feedback, advice, or tips — or educate someone on rules or etiquette — ask permission first and please do so in an uplifting, friendly, and supportive tone.
  • Remember: these meetups are meant to be fun, casual, and inclusive for golfers of all skill levels. Let people play the way they want to — as long as it’s not interfering with your game.
